ISO: The International Organization for Standardization

A brief note that should be followed up on later: what is the potential for an organization like ISO - that has a mandate to set standard sizes and protocols for everything from shipping containers to ATM cards - for expanding that mandate into environmental, medical, even political and ethical, standards at a global scale?

What is the potential for an idea like Standardization to redefine basic rights in a postdemocratic, posthumanist world?

>>update: ISO is already moving in this direction: link<<
